PayPalIt's been a while since I last asked and plenty of games have been released or updated since then. Let's get talking.
For me, the usual Rocket League has been played a lot recently. Especially with the new in-game event going on, the Spike Rush game mode (video) is a huge amount of fun and it's pretty ridiculous. Even the normal game modes continue to keep the game as my #1, it's gotten to the point where I'm attempting all sorts of insane goals. It's still free to try until tomorrow at 5PM UTC with a 50% off sale on Steam.
Plenty more Dota Underlords as well of course, I'm absolutely terrible at it but it's also stupidly engrossing. I like that I can quickly go for a toilet break or to grab a drink when needed, since you don't have to be at your PC during the battles if you have to run for a minute.
Apart from that, Eagle Island continues to pull plenty of my attention. Such a sweet game and really quite a challenge at times. I've especially enjoyed jumping into the Roguelite mode to continue playing after the story is all done.
I also let the mini-me try out Bastion, while it's not a game I personally enjoy as I find the narrator a little irritating, he seems to love it on the more casual game mode and he's getting surprisingly good at it.

And I've been playing E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy, FPS / RPG that I think I'll always recommend now, but that is not for everybody. But hear me right: it's a RPG where the story can be put to the background. The game is an RPG in the way you can powerup. On that, it's good, really, really absolutely fucking great. On many other aspects, calling it utterly broken (introduction, tutorials, balance) would be underplaying it. It's one of those games where you have to keep going head on even if you feel like you are against a wall. Hard locking is almost impossible, but soft locking is almost a given when you play the first 15 hours. Then you can be the cyber-psychic-super-soldier/ninja all the modern power trip based RPG of this decade want to give to the players.
And it's scratching the surface (but at the same time, it's just that).

On the solo side, I chipped away a little at Pillars of Eternity. I'm about 10 hours into the game and feel like it's the very beginning. I made some mistakes that made fights very difficult and held me back. Now that I'm playing my class better and have more party members, it's going better and is more fun. I really enjoy the setting and dialogue as long as I'm relaxed enough
Ope, forgot to mention that I also played a decent bit of Stardew Valley with the kids. It was a very discontinuous experience this time since they wanted to play at different times, so I had to switch which character I played each time and repeat my progress. (I don't host a farm for them from my computer because I only sometimes play with them.)
