What have you been playing recently and how is it?

It has been a little while since I asked, so let's see what you're up to. What have you been playing recently and how is it?

I tried a good bit of Starbound when it released and wow it has changed a lot. It's really quite impressive what they have built. The exploration, the awesome loot and it's just a pleasing experience.

The other main one is Stardew Valley, it utterly demolishes time in the blink of an eye and my farm is slowly coming along!

I also thoroughly enjoyed Near Death which I did on the last livestream. My failure at surviving in the cold was pretty obvious and I haven't managed to find the elusive penguin yet!

Personally, I just want to find the time to finish up Life is Strange, I still haven't managed to get some proper time to sit down and finish the last bit on it. Excited to see how it ends!

With so many games to choose from now, it does get almost frustrating at times choosing between them to play in my limited leisure time. Do you find that now too? Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I upgraded my PC on Monday and started Epistory last night (thanks in part to watching GOL's stream of it) - what a fantastic game! So engaging and so beautiful, and the difficulty's just right to keep me always pushing a little harder. I've also been playing too much Guild Wars 2 through PlayOnLinux, now with decent graphics :)

Quoting: ziabiceBefore that I played "Divinity: Original Sin" for 40 hours then got bored: really great combat system, not so great story. I played it under Windows because the Linux port doesn't work with Mesa + radeonsi.
I somehow poured 70 hours into that game before giving up on it for the same reason (although I also found combat tedious after a while). Fortunately it was gifted to me.

Mechwarrior: Online.

And yes, I know, I'm such a bad person.

But it's... okay? It's great if you play with friends.

I've been playing...

Life is Strange
- Finished it. Probably the best interactive story game I've played to date. Really curious to see what they do with the live action series based on the game. And what they do for season 2 of the game itself. I do plan to replay season 1 of the game with the Director's Commentary. That and I do think the game is worth another playthrough. I want to see the other story choice outcomes along the way.

RimWorld
- The game is a little strange, but plays nicely. I'm not sure about the end game for it, but it is still in early access. Good music. Its fun to watch your colonists interact with each other randomly.

Tabletop Simulator
- A must have game if you have a few friends to play board games or cards with. The workshop has been filling up with all sorts of board games. The custom content really makes Tabletop Simulator great. Everytime I put the game down for a while and then start it back up, there is plenty of new content uploaded. They've also been implementing VR, which would be cool once that picks up on Linux. A friend of mine tested the VR on his non-Linux machine. He said it was pretty cool to walk around in the D&D sets as if they were full scale.

The usual Payday 2 and Civilization V for me but yesterday I tried Ep1 of Life Is Strange and played it through in one session (it's not *that* long though). Now buying the whole other episodes -- it's just totally awesome :)
