Another week has almost finished, it's now the weekend and it's super hot here which means it's time to hide indoors and play games.

For me, it's been a real mix of things recently. With the announcement that EVERSPACE 2 is coming to Linux, I've decided to brush up on my piloting skills in the original. I'm still amazed at how fun EVERSPACE actually is, especially the Action Freeze feature where you can just entirely stop the game to take a picture. Beautiful too, it can result in some awesome shots like this:

Apart from that, Jupiter Hell is another fantastic Early Access game now out on Linux. Already loving everything about it, from the awesome atmosphere to the incredible turn-based action. Although when I'm not looking for something so intense, diving into Dicey Dungeons is always high up on my list.

What have you been playing recently and what are you clicking on this weekend? Let us know your thoughts and recommendations in the comments.

I played a bit of Space Mercs and Rings of Saturn, but most of my time went to The Witcher 3 using Proton.

Is it that good or that bad?

Quoting: PixelDropBorderlands the pre-sequel for both.
Finished Borderlands 2 two months back figured it was time to finish the next game in the series.

Thus far it feels like a big DLC for the second game, and I'm not really enjoying it nearly as much. Overall it just feels really cheap story world wise like a mid-budget DLC rather then it's own game.
I am also playing Borderlands The Pre Sequel, but via Proton (D9VK). Performance is twice as better on my system compared to native.

This always happens. Whenever I haven't been playing much and one of these threads pops up, I say what I have been playing, then go off and start playing something else entirely. So I've had one of my periodic returns to Minecraft this weekend. When did it get so complicated? There's a ton of stuff in the in-game recipe book that I've never heard of and don't know what it does. Liking the bees in the development snapshot, though...

I'm still sinking hours and hours into Dead Cells. Still stuck at Boss Cell 1 though...I don't know how I could ever reach BC5.

But even if the game keeps rubbing in my face how bad I am at it, it's just so damn fun and addictive. I really have to commend Motion Twin for their work, Dead Cell is absolutely the gold standard of all the roguelites I've played (but I haven't tried Hades yet).

Plus the game has excellent Linux support :) I've heard some people have controller issues with it (which can be fixed by switching to Proton), but native works just fine with my DS4 and F310 gamepads.
