Wine 2.5 released with 30 bug fixes and various improvements

By - | Views: 9,278
The latest development release of Wine (2.5) is available with 30 bugs fixed and some various improvements.

Changelog:
  • Support for message-mode named pipes.
  • Translation of version resources through po files.
  • Transform feedback support in Direct3D.
  • Scheduler classes in C++ runtime.
  • Better scrolling in popup menus.
  • More improvements to the XML reader.

They also fixed 30 bugs with running games like Mafia III, Steep, Galactic Civilization 3, Final Fantasy X, Skyrim and more. I can't confirm how well any of them run, as I don't generally do Wine testing myself.

See the full release announcement here.

As usual, Wine-Staging will no doubt soon follow with their next release with added extra goodies in a few days time. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

This is part of the codebase now, it will happen every time April 1st comes around. There's nothing you and me can do about it.
