XCOM 2 [Steam] for Linux has been patched and it adds official support for Mesa 13.0.1 along with other changes.

Changelog
- Added support for gamepads
- Fixed mod support for mods that required the latest patch to work.
- Linux only: Added official support for AMD GPUs (R9 270 or better) using Mesa 13.0.1

I imagine quite a few people have been waiting on this one, as it was needed!

Really great to see Feral get us up to speed to end the year, as XCOM 2 is such a good game. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Awesome! It's a nice work, and very expected. Personally I needed a good gamepad support... sometimes it's boring play on keyboard :P

Oh wow, so they updated their porting layer for Mesa 13.0.1. That's great and shows how far Mesa has come by now.

Haven't picked this game up yet, but on the wishlist. Excited about controller support. Curious, how is the UI when using a controller on the couch? Text easy to read? Interface easy to follow?

I played it with my steam controller on my TV months ago, and I would say it is big screen friendly, text and UI is big enough.
