I'm noticing that witcher 3 wild hunt is still on the games release calendar. A guess is on there for September 1, which is interesting. While little would please me more than the game coming out on linux, what I'm wondering is what the basis of this guess is? Has there even been a whisper from CDProjekt about the game coming to linux? I haven't heard anything, but would love a surprise like this.

Basically, what evidence is there to support this game's listing on the release calendar? Is it actually coming?

Those guesses are just random dates AFAIK. So don't read too much into it.

I believe a number of those dates are based on developer posts saying "Late next year" or "Sometime in quarter 1~4". Still just guesses and they are always likely to get pushed back from any suggested release windows.

The date might be more wishful thinking than an educated guess in this case, but let's not lose hope. Stranger things have happened.

That date is actually pretty old, was set there months and months ago.

I'm going to move it until the end of the year for now :P

I don't think anything is happening with TW3 at all. Don't expect any dates. Our best bet is Wine developers being interested enough in it, to implement needed features.
