r9 270x
dvd Dec 29, 2017
I'm wondering if anyone has had experience witht the r9 270x card. I'm mostly concerned whether they have some performance/power consumption profile that i could set in the bios or in the kernel. I haven't worried much about power consumption so far since i've been using an APU, but i read the r9 270x might need ~200W power at maximum workloads, so I was wondering if there are options to curb that, or if the card uses that monsterous amount of power at average/low workloads.

I used to have the card but I never ever even measured the power consumption or even gave a thought about it. It used to work very nicely with Linux. The only problem I had with it was with Vulkan in Mad Max.
