Deus Ex Mankind Divided won't launch

Hi,

I'm trying to play Deus Ex Mankind Divided but I can't get it to launch at all. I click on "Play" in Steam and the Feral Launcher will appear as normal but when I click "Play" in the Feral Launcher nothing happens. Steam will say "syncing" for a split second then quit.
I checked the processes on my system to see if the game was a zombie or something but I didn't see anything.

Has anyone managed to get it running on an old CPU? I'd really like to play this game but if I have to I can wait til I can upgrade.

I sent Feral Support an email along with the report and crash dump and they told me that the issue is my old CPU. They didn't say what was causing the crash but I'm assuming my CPU doesn't support a particular instruction that the game needs. I can play other Feral games like Mad Max, Tomb Raider, Alien Isolation and others without issue. I just want to ask here on the forums before I give up.

If anyone needs me to do anything or provide extra info just ask. I don't know what help it will provide but if allowed I can post the crash dump as well.

What CPU do you have?

I had the same problem with a Core 2 Quad Q6600. The game was crashing telling me to contact Feral support. I did and they told me my CPU was too old, but weren't able to tell me what specific feature was missing. All the other Feral games I have run fine on the machine, and quite well, too.

It's a Core 2 Quad Q9650. It runs all other Feral games pretty good as well so I don't know what feature my CPU would be missing.

I haven't tried Rise of the Tomb Raider yet though.

RotTR runs fine. Pretty much a solid 30 fps so far on high with a GF 1050 Ti.

have you tried launching steam via the terminal and then seeing what the output is there when you try and play Deus Ex?

It's showing a lot of errors. I don't know enough to know what the issue is tough.
At the bottom where the crash happens it's saying something about invalid window parameter. Could that be a clue?
