The Internet Archive has now provided several thousand C64 games directly playable in the browser. The whole thing is realized by a browser variant of VICE, the best known C64 emulator I think is also available for our OS.
So if someone gets bored or needs some nostalgic pushes - this way:

One caveat, though, is that they're currently concentrating on gathering software, not necessarily making it function *perfectly* inside the browser. Admittedly I haven't been on the site for a couple of months now, but the last time I tried, pretty basic stuff like disk swapping didn't work -- this limits the functionality of the in-browser emulators to a large extent, but note that you can always just download the disk images, and work with them on your local emulator.
