It worked finally. The trick was easier than I thought.

For the AMD Threadripper processors family, just make sure to stack everything on the first CPU core:
$ taskset -c 0 ${rest of the command}

Here the outcome:

Must resist getting threadripper...
Must resist getting new motherboard...
Must resist being angry at Gigabyte for doing random things...

Not the worth of the purchase, mate. Surely it looks awesome to see the kernel compiling in 4 minutes by taking advantage of the cores parallel processing, but for strictly gaming purposes the Ryzen 9 is still the best choice.

Have you figured out a way to open the inventory and spend skill points? I bit the bullet tonight but I don't think I can beat the game with level 1 stats and unupgraded equipment :S:

Not yet. The tutorial felt a little boring and slow-paced in the gameplay moments, and then I actually moved to play the first Uncharted later. Has anyone already checked if the PS4 DualShock controller works with PS Now?

It's what I'm using, but from my understanding whatever Linux driver is in charge treats it like an xbox 360 controller so there's no proper touchpad (the driver treats it like a standard laptop touchpad so it does nothing in-game). I might try to tinker with Steam's controller remapping stuff and run Lutris through Steam to see if it picks it up, but that seems convoluted.

I managed to beat the original campaign, but not yet the expansion to Horizon: Zero Dawn. Beautiful game, fun too.
