Playing Battlefront 2 via Lutris!
dercolino May 20, 2020
So,
I have managed to play Battlefront 2 (2017) via Lutris (I start Origin then Battlefront 2). It even starts, and loads into the main menu. But when I try to open a crate, or load into any sort of game (Single- and Multiplayer) the game freezes for 1 or 2 seconds, then crashes.

Any Help is appreciated!

Well Lutris in its own words "is an Open Source gaming platform for Linux. It installs and launches games so you can start playing without the hassle of setting up your game"

So it MUST be a bug within Lutris! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'd file an issue with their technical support 😇

This game is really wonky under Wine.

I once bought origin access to try this game out.

I used the script and the game booted and I technically could play, however mouse input was broken (I could look around, but couldn't fire my weapon).

So don't hold your breath for this game. It's just all around broken on Wine.

If you do end up succeeding in getting this game to run properly, please post here you did it. I'd like to try this game as well.
