sooo I need to bisect this I did a checkout on a git commit ninja installed, etc. Now I get this error, I installed the drivers to the /tmp/radeon dir

LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/tmp/radeon/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ LIBGL_DRIVERS_PATH=/tmp/radeon/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/dri  glxinfo
glxinfo: error while loading shared libraries: libGL.so.1: failed to map segment from shared object

what I'm doing wrong?

EDIT: nvm tmp, must be mounted with exec permission

Good news folks, I did a git checkout on commit 4cc7d6a85f2eccf90307989bbdae6fc9b0a301c0
and surprise!! the bug is not there. This commit is from sept 1st.
Now I need to take my time to git bisect this, hope I make it to the 20.3 release there's some weeks left.

That is good news! Thanks for sticking to it!

Too many people just whine and rant when confronted with bugs, never even try to report them much less tracking them down themselves.

I git bisected and found a fair share of both good and bad commits now git bisect is pointing to this commit
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/commit/79347f5cd4561e5b2b04064b78f2f1224da7e27b#57c22f4154637fe0d95ac4f19e09092d4c4d5b74

strange because it is a Vulkan commit, unless git bisect is wrong.

I can't seem to narrow down the faulty commit ... I'm trying again with different good and bads commits. not giving up now that I'm so close.

this is taking me so much time, I feel a bit frustrated git bisect is wrong or there's something I'm missing.

this time I redid everything and now I think I nailed it because it is a revert, so it was fixed for a short period of time and then rolled back, this is exactly what happened to me with the oibaf repo

this is the commit

Bug squashed another one bites the dust with the Mighty Aquabat reverting af0435cbfe61632407ce135fbea9cab6fe1e4fb6 fixes the bug in master ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Ž

feels goods doing a contribution to Mesa as small as it is.

Heheheh,
probably by christmas i'll finally switch my nvidia for an rx5600 and i'll be able to play DIII ^_^
THANK YOU!

It's crazy how much it has improved reverting that commit, now it averages around 100fps and can go up to 160fps!
with the proprietary driver I get 80fps on average.
