OK, the P5 is up and running, installation was straightforward and simple, except I forgot to do a small update-grub at the end... Figured it out two hours later... Dumb dumb.
Performance wise, I don't see or feel much difference except for the loading time of some programs and games. Boot time didn't change.

I feel like that may be something with Manjaro. I upgraded from a Samsung 850 Evo 250Gb to a Samsung 970 Evo 500GB and on Manjaro the boot time didn't change much but on Trisquel and Linux Mint I did notice a decent difference in boot time. Maybe it's just a feeling, I don't have any hard data to back it up.

On openSUSE Tumbleweed the boottime is much faster as my old SATA SSD
