I've worked on my open source game choria on and off since 2008 (mostly off, but when it's on, it is crunchtime). I think it's finally time for a 1.0 release.
The game is a 2d multiplayer RPG (think Dragon Warrior, Final Fantasy, etc.) where you can explore the world, get into random battles, level up, upgrade your gear/skills, fight bosses, trade, gamble and more. The combat system is very streamlined and similar to games like Final Fantasy (ATB), but you can have up to 8 players in battle co-op style. It's a pretty good LAN party game too. There's no public server, but you can easily host your own or just play single-player. I do have a private server that a few friends play on though, and I'd be willing to allow people in on an invite-only basis. If you're into old school RPGs, give it a try!
