What are you playing this week (September 7th 2026)?

Who says only Liam can make these posts? Nothing about that in the rules, is there?

Anyway, aside from my forever continuing to grind out the DiRT Rally 2.0 dailies, I'm also going to play some Pathfinder Kingmaker, specifically I'm going to work my way up to level 20 in the Beneath the Stolen Lands DLC so I can have a character generator + testing ground ready to try out some builds. I already had a save but I managed to lose it somehow (I suppose that's the benefit of the Steam version over the GOG version, but in the Steam version you can't really delete saves, when you install the game on a new machine the supposedly deleted saves get restored).

Currently Dead by Daylight with the Mrs. We've been really enjoying it together, such an easy game to team up and just hit Play. Works perfectly on the Steam Machine too so playing it in the same room is great.

The other night we had two kiddos on it with us too. Two on PC, me on Steam Machine, another on Steam Deck. Good fun!

Planing to play some The Blood of Dawnwalker (External Link: You need to be logged in to view this.) this week. I preordered the game a few month ago but was on vacation on the release day. So far I like the reviews and let's plays I saw and I am really looking forward to it.

:).
I'm play Monster Hunter Worlds and Rise with a friend on PC since we both ran out of things to do in Wilds and are exited to play the upcoming Expansion. Funny that I've played all optional quests in the base games to but the Expansions I haven't played much so that's what we are working on.

By myself I've started playing Resident Evil Requiem on my PS5 Pro 2 days ago after getting it as a birthday gift last month man the difference between Grace and Leon's gameplay is so big. I'm going to miss being gifted physical game at the end of next year at least steam now allows for people to gift games without an account so my family can still gift me games.

I'm waiting for In Falsus to release on Wednesday since I love Sound Voltex style rhythm games and demo has been great to play.

Probably gonna do a lot of Warframe grinding as usual.

Otherwise I've been wanting to check out the new Quake expansion so I'm working on playing the older ones at the moment. Dimension of the Machine is the one I am going through right now.

I finally received my Anbernic RG34XX, and I've been playing TLoZ The Minish Cap on it.

On PC I've been playing Tomb Raider Legend and Darksiders Warmastered, the latter was recently updated and now it works without tinkering on Linux (only the Steam version though :(((((, GOG version is still on the last patch from 2017, and the experience is unplayable).

Continuing on with my Pillars of Eternity 1 turn based mode playthrough. Absolutely loving it. Also have been doing a little Hearth and Hamlet kind of in the background while working or doing chores, etc. It's a really fun incremental.

Finished Sludgineers on the Deck last week, and while it was super fun, it was also WAYYYYYYYY too short. I think I finished the entire thing in two sessions. That's just not acceptable for me so I would definitely not recommend this to anyone.

I recommend. Actually really good.

Valheim - its been a long wait for full release. Haven't played it for like 5 years and skipped all the news and spoilers also.
And a bit of Warhammer Online ofc to have my PvP/RvR fix.

I'm playing Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy. I liked the first two games in that series but action/horror isn't usually my thing - that said this game is cinematic and gorgeous - I've been enjoying it so far.

Wanted to get back into Dragon Age: The Veilguard for vibes, but now getting a nasty DirectX GPU crash which I think is related to the strand hair system. Always great when Linux support regresses over time πŸ˜…

Playing Forza Horizon 6, and nearing the 100h mark. I've still some collectibles to pick up, but I don't think I would have kept playing were it not for the seasonal events. Part of my brain says those are just the typical "dark patterns" and addictive mechanics you so far managed to avoid, but the other part says we want that shiny, exclusive car. In three weeks it's gonna be the Lotus Esprit, and who wouldn't want to own that*!?

I had that hair crashing thing too. Disabling the weird hair setting in game settings fixed it if I remember correctly. But of course then I stopped playing it after like 10 hrs because it was so terrible lol. And I absolutely adored all the other entries 😫

Hah yeah it's not for everyone - gotta hold my nose through much of the dialog writing. It runs fine without strand hair enabled, but playing a Qunari with Fabio-esque perfectly simulated flowing locks was like the main upside (and the combat is pretty good). I'll keep trying different proton versions, it was working just a few months back.

Well, if the thread's still alive (maybe I should rename it?) I'll just tack on my plans for this week (September 14th) here:

More DiRT Rally 2.0, as the server isn't paying out the dailies any more and repairs cost (in-game, earned by rallying, no micro transactions) credits I'm just setting up my own daily races in the offline single-player mode.

I picked up Nioh 2 over the week-end. It's more complicated than Dark Souls (the Stance system, Ki Pulse, Burst Counters which depend on your choice of Guardian Spirit, the Devil Trigger like thing) but so far it seems easier. I'm very rusty, though, so how fast I'm gonna progress remains to be seen.
