SimDevs have announced their amusing physics-based escape room puzzle game, Area 86, is now going to release in Q1 2020.

Area 86 is a game I tried out and gave a few early thoughts on back in September, coming away very impressed at the idea. A clumsy physics-based puzzle game, where you need to solve multiple different puzzles to escape each level.

Why the delay? Well, it was going to release in October but after showing Area 86 off at the Baltic Sea Games Award conference (and winning Best Game Design!) and they say this will ensure we "get a non-rushed game with more polish". Can't argue with that. I'm not surprised they won an award for the design either, I thought it was great from what I played and pretty amusing.

You can wishlist/follow on Steam for the Q1 2020 release, the developer also mentioned a demo might arrive before the full release too.
