I dislike always-online, multiplayer games any way, especially those with subscriptions or micro-transactions. If you like 'em, enjoy ...

  • if you wait until after the EA, it's totally free

  • it's only multiplayer if you want it to be, it can be 100% single player only (solo self found)

  • there are no subscriptions

  • there is mtx but totally optional, and that's only to support the devs/game since, again, it's 100% free


so if only online is your only complaint, I can understand that, and there are other arpgs out there without this (last epoch) but I would suggest giving it a try! It's a really fun game!
