Civilization Beyond Earth bug help needed

Just to try and narrow this down, for anyone who owns Civilization Beyond Earth, on the main menu can you click the my 2k logo in the bottom right corner. Does anything happen when you do?

If it does/doesn't do anything please let me know, along with your distro and version.

I'm running Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS 64-bit with all the latest updates installed.

Similar system just running mint, does not work either (i5 nvidia etc all similar) no surprise at that though.

No, i just have one drive for my Linux and one for my windows OS. At Linux everything is installed at default locations.
