The low price really worries me. How polished and how much content can there really be at that price. What worries me is that this will be yet another indie title that leaves us thinking about how it could have been, had more resources been put into the project.
I do of course hope I'm wrong.

Woot - no "stop wasting time and release the games faster" type posts? That's real progress, folks! :-D
And yeah this smells like Tomb Raider. Personally I'm hoping for a new AAA franchise but Lara is an obvious purchase.

Quoting: Leopard... How so? A VM can run Noveau too...it specifically mentions not to use the open source Nouveau driver for NVIDIA GPUsThat shows they actually tested it , rather than setting up a VM.

This is one obvious purchase. They'll have to really really fail on launch for me not to buy this right away.

Why, oh why on EARTH do developers promise to support a platform without having any experience on the platform OR not doing any research prior t the promises being made? I mean, seriously, it happens over and over! It's so amateurish that I can't even start comprehending how they can be in business at all. Are they all kids sitting in their basements?
There was a time I used to think highly of games developers, that they were really good coders with all that fancy graphics and complex stuff gong on. Now I start getting the impression it's all just the engines and they really are more or less just script kiddies playing around.

In order to become healthy gaming platform we need games built on and for our platform. We don't just want ports.
No healthy gaming platforms are happy with being a secondary citizen. The console gamers don't want pc ports. Windows gamers don't want console ports. Why? Cause they don't fully utilize their platform. There's always a sacrifice.
To develop for a platform one need platform experience. If Steam Play provides them an exit from even making ports it degrades us even further and makes the goal of a healthy gaming platform - a platform That don't just receive subpar ports, even more distant.
Now, I bet it's a surprise when I now say I'm not totally against Steam Play. I'm not, not at all. But I am very aware that this is not just a good thing. The critics do have a very valid point.

Quoting: NeverthelessWhat's the harm? That's easy to answer, actually:Quoting: Beamboom... And this is exactly what the pessimists were worried about. And it's also what the optimists were hoping for. Instead of maybe just giving up Linux support completely, the developer now looks out for Steam Play compatibility at least. What's the harm in it? If you want the game, you will be able to play it on Linux.
