Those graphics can't possibly be clean screenshots, they have to be brushed up a lot?

Ok, I didn't watch the trailer until now: And hot damn if this isn't straight up on my most anticipated list for this year. Looks absolutely fantastic!

I'm starting to get real tired of games where we are supposed to bring content to the game ourselves. Being it multiplayer only games where we are supposed to bring our opponents into the game, pure sandboxes where we are supposed to make our own adventure, to games meant for modding where we are supposed to create the whole f'ing experience.

To me it more and more is starting to look like the developers have figured out a way to avoid the most costly and risky of the entire game development process: Making content that actually appeals to the crowd.
- "Let's just make the tool and have them make the content themselves! Then they got nobody but themselves to blame" seems to be the mantra. All motivated by the ready-made frameworks that are offered by the game engines today, obviously.

Disclaimer: This release here is not a particularly good example of this. It just accidentially triggered this comment. :)

In regards to the quality of this specific game this is actually good news, as were the news that Gearbox wanted to get involved. For the longer term it's not as good of course, but for this particular release I'm even more excited now. Obviously there's something great going on in this game.

Quoting: LeopardThis price is crazy high to be honest.
Doesn't that totally depend on the size and content of the game?! We don't know that yet... If this is a full AAA campaign I'd say it's way too cheap, and that worries me. We don't only want small indie games fore a tenner, do we?

Valve are easing up on what content is allowed on Steam

Quoting: ZeloxI wonder when we can expect adult games then. I know valve has mentioned this once before.
Exactly. Not that I mind a good porn flick. I'm no prude, nor am I particularly thin skinned. I do not get that easily offended, but everything has its place. And the Steam client is something I consider to be "main street" of gaming. A client I can install on my kids computer too. A client that can be up and running alongside my regular other software, at work for that matter. We all do during the holiday sales, don't we? :)

Cause that's the reality, the outcome for no curation: Speculative junk. Porn, shovelware, fraud attempts, hate mongering, racism, extremists political and religious agendas, and so forth.

And please note, This is content that I do not say should be BANNED - they just do not belong on the main street.

That store needs more curation, not less. And I don't give a flying F if I miss out on one speculative piece of junk in that process. Let the junk be published in shacks outside the main stores.

Yeah magnificent visuals, I sure hope they will deliver on story too - and that it's not too railed.

Nice idea for a new series Scaine, and welcome to the writer staff :) (you've not published that many articles earlier, have you? Or have I just not noticed?)

Ars Technica is not exactly overly excited:

Let's hope they are wrong in that this game needs at least one more year of polish, or I'm afraid @drmoth will be right in his comment...
