SwiftpawOh, it has local co-op and single player. That changes things. I now care about this game. :3
This game is very good on online multiplayer, but playing with friends on the couch it's even better.

+1 Agreed.

Great co-op features for this one all around. However, if you want any sort of fighting chance in ranked 3v3 standard matches, it's best to bring friends!

PS - Snow Day (the ice hockey mode) RAWKS! Psyonix was wise to keep that one past the holidays.

PPS - Beware of that OST. It's as addictive as the game!

Oculus Rift VR headset will support Linux after release, looking like it's going to be pricey

GearVR + VR Cinema + Trans-continental/oceanic flight = Killer App.

All the points TheBoss makes are valid: too expensive, too incongruent, etc. Also, motion sickness is REAL with these things! 20 minutes of Half-Life 2 and it's Game Over for me.

Honestly, the worst part is the wires! Talk about breaking "presence"! (Yet another point for the GearVR.)
I have taken to calling my DK2 the Oculus Riftopus.

iRacing, anyone? ;-)

The Zotac Steam Machine ZBOX NEN SN970 impressed OC3D in their review

This particular Steam Machine review reminded me:

Does anyone remember what a disaster the launch of the PS3 was? Oversized, overheated, spotty to non-existent PS2 legacy support despite having an Emotion engine welded to the frame, HOLLOWED OUT DualShock controllers without the shock, wonky gyro support which nobody understands to this very day, and two long-forgotten "showcase" exlusives: Lair and Heavenly Sword, which weren't even available at launch. All for the low price of $600!!! That's right, SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS!!!!

By comparison, this Steam Machine maiden voyage is a regular pleasure cruise.
