lunix"Beta access code invalid."
There's no code needed, as mentioned just find it in the beta dropdown.

Missed that one, thanks!

Btw, this REALLY did improve things! I no longer have crashes and I'm occasionally getting 90+ fps. The cutscenes no longer kill the game but entering new areas still significantly reduce fps for a minute(probably the garbage in the ram). Great work, feral! Cutscenes still consume a lot of RAM and they make the game crash. And sometimes they drain all the RAM and swap and make my system freeze. The state of the game is very bad.

So, I've finished the "challenge" on nightmare NG+ difficulty. It took me 40 minutes(!) because I got lost in the maze underground for ~20 minutes. I even died once because a random gas tank exploded near me. The reward was... shit. Compared to how much stuff I've invested in it... Even if they'd give us yellow weapons it wouldn't worth it. The cost of the quest's completion is much higher than any item's value I know about. And this quest is definitely not for the average DL player because it's too difficult for them. For me it was rather boring because I'm 184 legendary with 5.7M$. Lower level players would need to shoot their way through the waves of the enemies and on n/ng+ firearms are kinda weak.

Edit: here's the approximate cost of my completion: 50+ shotgun ammo(with the golden engraved semi-auto shotgun), 50 exploding arrows, 45 crossbow bolts, 20 resistance boosters, 15 DIY grenades and 10 medkits. I also had a sickle with 4000+ dmg and mixed upgrades.

Edit2: almost efficient gameplay on nightmare ng+ in 20 minutes: 41 crossbow bolts, 38 exploding arrows, 32 shotgun ammo(now with 25 legend points to firearms), 20 DIY grenades and 11 medkits. The loot was crap again but I recovered 12 riffles which worth 12K$. I did some testing and by opening every police van on the infamy bridge in 2 DL days and by relooting osman's stashes a few times I was able to recover a lot of weapons which worth 135K$. I also found king upgrades.

QuoteDying Light: Bad Blood the new standalone game from Techland is currently going to be Windows-only during the Beta period. When I last spoke to Techland, they weren't sure if it will see Linux support later or not.

I would like it to happen. I need it on Linux . Unfortunately, when browsing some forums, whether it's steam or reddit etc, I see another wave of hate from (angry) Linux community on Techland developers for DL and DI ports...

If these two young Techland developers responsible for the Linux/OpenGL port read this wave of hate, I would not be surprised if they decided to not port it to Linux, same as a CDPR with Witcher 3 ...

Exactly, compared to most ports DL is very good. I don't understand the hate.

lunixHint: use exploding arrows instead of impact bolts. Also consider resistance boosters instead of medkits.
Hah yeah, admittedly it's been a while! Many months since I played properly

I remember when you streamed it with Sin and I kept bothering you to collect the herbs

Ken Follett's The Pillars of the Earth final book will be out March 29th

I've read the book and I was so hyped for the game. The first book was good, sometimes boring but delivered a little entertainment. But the second book... I hope they'll make the 3rd interesting at least.

ShmerlAnd regarding exclusive releases - this dumb and insulting approach should die out already. Normal game creators should strive to increase their reach, not to insult users by excluding them.

And not just that, but outside of the gaming industry the concept is completely preposterous. Just imagine: "Daewoo signs exclusive contract with Lionsgate Films for timed exclusive movie releases only to compatible™ Daewoo DVD players."

Have you heard about netflix and region-locked content?

tmtvlMicrosoft have proven themselves to be rather decent towards Linux as of late. They also haven't blocked Minecraft from opposing platforms, so I don't think there's much to worry about no matter who they decide to buy out.

Decent how? They're only interesting in server tech and they're just promoting themselves with FLOSS. Also, the new client doesn't support linux.
