Steam Play recently hit 500 Windows games rated as Platinum on ProtonDB

Well steamplay is a good alternative for those who want more and Valve's work with steamplay really raises my hope and expectations for the future of linux gaming. If only people could see that freedom(linux) is better than Microsoft's slavery. I haven't tried even windows 10 because I don't like the way it behaves.Still it's too difficult get people to change their OS. But we have hope. Microsoft may rule in computers but elsewhere Linux thrives like cellphones( android), future cars, raspherry pi, automation and so on. It has still lot of potential. Even microsoft's AI's prefers Linux! So heads up and and hope for a better tomorrow. In Linux we trust!

For me early christmas would come before summer if we had Skyrim as native port but that's very unlikely to happen.Still there's room for attitude change when it comes to Beteshda. Hopefully this is the year of linux gaming

Epic Games have confirmed a Linux version of their store is not on the roadmap

I still believe epic's decision is stupid. But I belive that Valve will thrive in the future. Hopefully most game publishers won't change their attitude against Valve. And users too. I don't believe that so called big bang will happen and Valve lose their throne to epic. A lot of things must happen before that

I'm a bit sad about epic's decision. But maybe time is not ripe for linux platform to their road map. This can be an advantage for Valve. For me personally, I won't buy a single game from epic store until something happens like Linux support for example. The next year will be very intresting....

Good work! The Next year will be more intresting than previous one. Hopefully we see the Linux growth in OS statistics. Still a lot of work it requires but signs are positive. And by the way happy new year and may 10 years of enchantment of luck and happiness fall upon gol and its memebers!

Good work! Earth will be a better place to live after valve's work is done. Gabe Newell will have a golden statue which is located in New York right beside the liberty statue! Anyway into the point. I can't wait to have some windows titles work properly out of the box. Still one must have patience. But I expect big things to happen soon

The Linux market share on Steam is at a 14 month high as of September 2018

It would be nice if cows could fly.....It can happen before that 1% amount of users has been reached. I have some doubts of users changing from win10 to Linux. It requires know-how to use Linux system and when you look at how Windows thrives at the moment it's a huge task to reach bigger numbers of users using Linux. But I'll be glad if I'm wrong

A multi-vendor extension for transform feedback in Vulkan is being worked on to help DXVK and others

This kind of development I really like Time to dig up a pit and put my microsoft books and my old laptop in there and then I'll bury them there. When a million year has passed by some little green men from mars dig my home's ruins they find my books and my laptop. My books have been decayed and little green men can't make out what was written in them. They manage to start the laptop and on the screen is a text in capital letters: Microsoft will return!!Personally I don't think this might ever happen but who knows? Well enough of that.
Back to topic. I guess next months will be very intresting. What will happen? How many users will switch to linux and how this will show in OS statistics?Time will tell that....

Valve have rolled out Steam Play into the stable Linux Steam Client, along with touch controls for Steam Link
29 August 2018 at 7:41 pm UTC

This can mean only one thing:Test for steamplay system has been successful. It also means that I can change my old underwear at last which i put on when I first heard of steam for linux about 3 years ago. I haven't changed them since for some reason. This is a happy moment for a million years.Uh this joke was really smelly.Off topic. Sorry I mean Valve is doing great job. But what is the Microsoft's answer? That I'd like to know. Well time tells it. But I have a feeling in my guts that this development isn't easy to stop
