Feral's Game Port Radar Updated For Linux

By - | Views: 25,237
Feral Interactive have updated their games radar with Linux hints, so it's time to continue guessing what they are working on.

The first Linux hint on there is "Everybody wants to rule the world", and it seems like that's the only Linux hint on the page so far. It's probably related to their previous hints.

Feral Interactive are very sneaky, and I love it.

Half Life 3, valve time has only given Valve enough time to work on the Windows version so they had to contract the Mac and Linux versions out.

I hope it's Empire: Total War next - this is the most addictive and epic strategy game I've ever played, and I would happily sink many more hours into it under Linux. The game is still hugely popular if you look at the steam charts.

BI did show up in my Steam library, having bought it in my dual-booting days. BTW, on a Phenom II 965 CPU and a GeForce 650ti, it ran very well at 1600x900, hardly max settings, but it ran very well.

I don't expect its full release until at least January, and I've seen "missing executable" before.

Empire Total War has just shown up in my Linux list & from the looks of what's downloading it's Native Linux not Eon.

If that is true, now that's a really funny story... The whole thing about the game on the Feral radar signal is about Empire: Total War but the clues they left us to guess lead us to believe it could have been the Bioshock Infinite port. The problem is that this port is done by VP. No Feral implication.

That's what I call timing... :)

This is a GOOD day for Linux gaming! The first Total War, and may there be many more. A big thank you to Feral Interactive.

Yep all Feral titles on Linux (and Mac) are native applications designed for their platforms. Due to their history they will contain "DNA" from the Windows original however we always aim to make the Mac or Linux version a perfect Linux (or Mac) citizen.
