LudoNarraCon has returned, with another digital event now live on Steam to celebrate narrative games. Organized by Fellow Traveller, publisher of unusual narrative games.
From now until April 27, there's a lot of narrative games on sale and the developers will be doing something of an exhibition where they will livestream to their Steam store page. These streams will typically last between 1-3 hours on a loop, so you don't have to worry about missing one. Given how everything has been cancelled lately, it's a brilliant thing to do and Steam is well-placed for such an event.
They're also going to host 14 hours of talks from "industry influencers" (writers, designers and so on). These talks are being livestreamed to the main event page. The full talk list can be found here. To actually see the livestream, you need to expand the bar right below the big logo. If you want to adjust Steam settings so page livestreams auto expand or auto hide, find them in your Steam Account Preferences right at the bottom.
As for sales, there's quite a few. Some excellent Linux games too including:
- A Short Hike
- Curious Expedition
- Hypnospace Outlaw
- Lamplight City
- SUNLESS SEA
- + lots more
Last year, they said they had "850k unique visitors" and they're hoping to double that this year. It's a nice primarily indie-focused event, a good chance to pick up some cheaper narrative games for the weekend perhaps. See the dedicated page here.
