Slime Rancher already has a pretty sweet post-launch update with maps

Posted by , | Views: 4,396
Slime Rancher [Official Site], easily one of the sweetest releases lately has a post-launch update, which features a long awaited mapping system. No longer will you feel lost constantly, as you can now activate map nodes in each zone.

This update also adds in some more little toys for different slimes like fire, mosaic, dervish, and tangle slimes.

There's also some changes to existing features: Ponds now give infinite water, Gardens now produce infinite harvest, extractor cycle time was reduced from 22 hrs to 12 hrs and more.

See the full changelog here.

In case it's not clear from all the times I've reported on this game in a positive light — buy it. Seriously, it's a lot of fun. It's also on sale right now with 33% off on both Steam and GOG.

Haha! Technically the platforms should be win/osx/linux. Or technically it should be win/osx/gnu+linux. Any Stallman fanatics in here today??

The vague use of PC does drive me absolutely nuts, but I guess you have to pick your fights and I think this one was lost about a decade ago when Apple fired out those condescending "I'm a Mac" adverts. <sigh>

Bought this game a while back. I play it together with my daughter. We both enjoy it quite a bit.
