The GOG winter sale is on, you can grab Grim Fandango Remastered for free

Posted by , | Views: 5,936

Time for some more awesome deals Linux gamers, as the GOG winter sale is now officially on. You can grab Grim Fandango Remastered free too!

Note: We are a GOG affiliate, sales using our links help us.

They're also enticing you to spend more money this year, once you spend 15 USD you get Hard West for free and when you spend 40 USD you get Master of Orion (the newer one) for free. Annoyingly, GOG don't have the Linux version of Master of Orion, but they do have Hard West for us.

Here's some top picks:

Also remember to check out GOG Connect, to see if you can also add any new games to your GOG collection that you have on Steam. Today it let me add Outlast, Punch Club, LIMBO and Tahira: Echoes of the Astral Empire to my GOG account. Looks like there's more too, so do take a look.

The GOG winter sale lasts until December 26th at 11pm UTC.

Ps. Do remember to check out our Sales Page, it has Linux games on sale from multiple stores.

I bought Sunless Sea Zubmariner (finally), after getting the base game from GOG Connect, nice! Will try it soon. I played the base game a long time ago, it was awesome. Zubmariner and the base game are both on sale.

ArehandoroAll joint together are probably the best classic style graphic adventure I have tried in quite a few years

Does GOG really support Blackwell Deception and Blackwell Epiphany on Linux?!?
Seems I can already make good use of my account created just yesterday?

One more question of a GOG newbie:
Is it possible to set my favorite OS to only get matching recommendations?

Yes, we do, and yes, you did

No, however the website will inform you in the shopping cart view if you try to buy a game without Linux support

That's cool! These are very good little games (<= recommendation) and I was sad I couldn't finish the series yet. May I ask how you accomplished this? Some kind of Dosbox behind it? It seems the developer couldn't port the games...

How does it know that wouldn't match my taste? Or do you mean it's displaying the supported OSs?

I added a Lutris installer for Dragon Age™: Origins - Ultimate Edition recently.

Will add more as I get time

If you buy on Linux, it informs you if you try to buy a game that isn't compatible with Linux.

Has anyone tried this 'Buy a Star' thing? I'm a bit reluctant, expecting that as Linux-only user there might be lots of (for me) useless things in the pot...

It's a lucky bag, right? There's so much I'd really love to play and don't find the time for, I won't risc it.
