The Humble Down Under Bundle is a very good deal for Linux gamers

By - | Views: 21,191

The Humble Down Under Bundle features nine games, all of which have a Linux version and it's a rather nice selection.

Pay what you want:

  • The Warlock of Firetop Mountain
  • Screencheat
  • Hand of Fate
  • Satellite Reign

It's pretty much a steal to get Hand of Fate so cheap!

Pay more than the average:

  • Hacknet
  • Hacknet Labyrinths
  • Crawl
  • Hurtworld - Doesn't list Linux support on Humble or Steam, but it does have a Linux build to download.

Pay at least $12 (about £9.02) for:

  • Armello

Note: I know plenty of people won't be happy with Humble Bundle since the IGN news, but until they suddenly make steps to stop Linux versions on bundles and the store, it's still worth buying from there. If you're that fussed about it, you can always manually set the Humble tip to zero. Don't pass up a good, legitimate deal!

Actually if you guys do punish IGN for things they have not done (abandon Linux) and don't pay them money, you just help them to legitimate drop that or at least the slider. As long as nothing has changed visibly I wouldn't change anything in my behaviour neither.

Nice bundle. Just bought it! Totally agree with what Liam said.

I even paid the regular humble tip. I don't like IGN at all but humble did well with this bundle.

IGN has slipped under my radar for pretty much ever. The only thing I really didn't like is when they killed off voodooextreme review/news site (I think it was them), I really liked the simplicity of how the news was presented on that site. Shame.

I've been setting the tip to 0 ever since they stopped requiring games to be multiplatform and DRM-free. That is, since the "Save THQ bundle".

I hear you but I strongly believe that IGN deserves none of my money. While the deal is good, if I wanted those games in a DRM-FREE format I will look for them on itch.io and/or GOG.

I said "goodbye" to Humble Bundle. Will never come back.

Satellite Reign is an excellent game, I had so much fun with it.

the title they choose for the bundle is a little confusing. I don't understand people who live in the northern hemisphere just say that people in the south live down under?

That's a really sweet bundle. My wife and I already own copies of Armello, but I want those Hacknet ones and Hand of Fate and Screencheat (already have Satellite Reign).

Nice, i can finally try Hurtworld. Always wanted to get that game but the price was way too much for a game that doesn't even advertise linux support. Rest of the games i either have or don't care about
