Recently I wrote about how the adventure game Where The Water Tastes Like Wine [SteamOfficial Site] would have a pretty interesting cast and I now have it confirmed Linux will see same-day support at release.

I spoke to the developer to get some proper confirmation and initially they said they were "finalizing" it, in the hopes that they didn't hit any Linux-specific issues. The developer emailed again yesterday to confirm that Linux will in fact see support at release, so that's fantastic news.

About the game:

Where the Water Tastes Like Wine is an upcoming game about traveling, sharing stories, and surviving manifest destiny. Featuring gorgeous illustration by Kellan Jett, Where the Water Tastes Like Wine combines 2D visuals with a 3D overworld US map. Players wander through the United States - and through a century of history - to meet a variety of people, each with their own stories to tell.

No exact date to share on the release yet, other than "Early 2018".

What a strange game. Illustration reminds me of old comic books, which is actually a good thing. This game really differs from other same kind of games. Still I doubt about the quick success when it comes to linux. Well the linux users are a minority group while windows thrives on. But all to best to devs who support linux by bringing more games into it. Maybe some day it will bear a fruit
