So the push for Linux games on Steam just keeps on going, this time we have [url=http://store.steampowered.com/agecheck/app/232770/]Postal[/url], [url=http://store.steampowered.com/app/65800/]Dungeon Defenders[/url] and [url=http://store.steampowered.com/app/229520/]Dungeon Hearts[/url] all having their Linux versions up!
[url=http://store.steampowered.com/app/225140/]Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition[/url] is the definitive compilation of the landmark first-person shooter that includes enhanced versions of Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition and three unique expansion packs as well as the original version of the classic game. Writing on the official blog the developers have noted that L4D2 is still coming to Linux! Which is great news since it was supposed to be the original title!
So the Steam Hardware Survey got updated again, this time they are now including lots of Linux distro's so we can see just how popular they are!
Another push from Valve for Steam on Linux! We now have Day of Defeat and Day of Defeat: Source (Beta)!
Today, Linux gaming takes a huge step forward as Valve have now officially released the Steam Client for Linux and so it's available for everyone to try.
Puppy Games, developer of award winning indie games such as Revenge of the Titans, Titan Attacks etc are now on Steam for Linux!
Looks like they are rolling out all area's for Linux on Steam now! Valve are improving the store for Linux users.
So the next instalment of the Steam hardware survey has landed and it's looking good for Linux so far!
Eador: Masters of the Broken World has been confirmed via a blog post to be coming to Linux thanks to Valve & Steam!
The Journey Down: Chapter One a point and click adventure game has had a Steam release for £4.99 but currently at 20% off for £3.99!
Rating: 8/10 Indie physics platformers are a dime a dozen these days, and I can not help but find it somewhat peculiar that in a market that seems to promote itself so heavily on its supposed innate creativity and diversity that such a genre glut as we are seeing now came to exist...
That's it folks, the closed beta is all over for Steam as anyone on Linux can install and play with it now which is awesome news.
Steam developer Frank announced via the Steam for Linux group that the limited Steam Beta has been expanded by another 5,000 people.
Rating: 7/10 I am sure that my first experience with the original Postal was very much the same as it was for many of the other people who have decided to give it a go over the years...
