Victory At Sea is an epic looking naval combat real time strategy game from Evil Twin Artworks that is now on Steam for Linux.

Shovel Knight is an awesome looking love letter to 8-bit games that was funded on Kickstarter some time ago. It had a Linux stretch goal that was hit and the developers have now teased it running on Linux.

Being in charge of humanity's last line of defense against an extraterrestrial threat is highly unlikely and if I were to do it I'm fairly sure we'd be doomed, but now I can try my hand at it in the safe environment of XCOM.
