Quoting: ziabiceI can't imagine how many "articles" Phoronix will squeeze from that single blog post... :P
Truth be told I sat on this for a few days, didn't even realize Phoronix had already covered it :(, genuinely thought he had missed it, doh! That'll teach me eh.

He's back, he's also a bit sick and he's hosting the Friday Livestream at 7.45 PM UTC!

Quoting: psychodriverI think by "got sick" you mean "got busy setting up his Starbound server". You should hop on it while you're livestreaming and harass him.
Hah honestly I really wish I was just pulling a sicky, got two golf balls in my throat (swollen)

Starbound officially released!

SWORDY, a local party brawler could come to Linux if Microsoft allow it

Quoting: coruun@Liam: You should also quote the other message, which was hidden in nomand's wrongly formatted second answer:

QuoteWe're definitely aiming to have Swordy available for Linux in the future, no reason why we wouldn't want that! Just need to make sure we're allowed and that we can deliver a quality build when we have it!
Oeer I did mean to include that, it got lost somewhere. Updated.

Quoting: Vash63I'm unable to run the game in full screen mode, just get a full black screen.

Nvidia 367.35 on Arch w/ Gnome.

Found a workaround for this. Go to either advanced options in the Feral launcher or right click on the game and go to properties and under advanced options..

Just put an = sign there and apply.

When you launch the game, it will popup an error.. click ok on the error (don't click cancel) and the game will auto minimize. Just click on it again and you're in fullscreen mode and playing.

Don't think this issue exists on SteamOS. Just if you're using another disto/DE, then maybe. I'm running Arch with Gnome 3.20.x.

For those of you seeing a blackscreen on launch in fullscreen mode, this will also workaround that.

I suspect it has to do with the Unreal logo. I remember Windows users had this problem too when the game launched for Windows. Also, initially i thought it had to do with the location of the game folder (mine is in a non default location on another drive).. so i symlinked the location to the default one and it didn't fix it either. So pretty sure it's that Unreal logo issue Windows users initially had. I'd read some reports that some Mac OS users also face this so i don't think it's due to the OS but more to the game bug that originally existed in the Windows version.

I'd report it but i think Feral is only supporting SteamOS for this and not other distributions so i'm not sure if i should.
Feral support more than just SteamOS. Report all issues.

Keep it cool guys.

If you're below min spec, you should expect poor performance. DrMcCoy your processor is far too under-powered and has been for years, so I'm not sure what you were expecting :P

If you're at min spec or above and have issues, I hope you're emailing [email protected] with your full spec and performance issues.

Commenting is one thing, actually reporting is another ;)

Quoting: dmantioneIt's impressive: They have managed to release another game that doesn't work with Fglrx drivers.

To bad, I would like to have rewarded this with a day one purchase.
Yet it works with Mesa, so what does that say about Catalyst? Catalyst isn't even supported any more by AMD. The last Catalyst release was last year...
