Rocket League not due on SteamOS & Linux for another 6 to 8 weeks

Quoting: NyapWell then, I guess I'll be pirating the game once it comes out to show them how I feel about all these delays and stuff. Anyone with me?

Don't be a fucking arsehole.

Master of Orion officially confirmed for Linux & SteamOS by Wargaming

Quoting: XodetaetlNitpicking as usual but what's the point of saying "Linux & SteamOS" ? It sounds as if they were two completely separate platforms. You should rather write it as "Linux / SteamOS" which implies that it's basically the same thing.

Sometimes I do it like that, sometimes I don't. Personal preference at the time, nothing more. It's also easier to hashtag it on social sites separating it with an & mark.

Quoting: TheBossWhy should we support someone who constantly belittles the platform we are trying to help grow? His comments are never helpful, never productive and all it does is fuel anti-Linux hate in his circles.

There's many better ways to go about it, like not saying it, or explaining it in a better way. He knows this, he chooses to be like how he is because Linux is small so he doesn't really care.

And random internet name calling is never helpful either. It again shows how hostile/toxic linux community is.
And Linux is Small thats the fact. This game is also in Early Access (be it there forever or not).

I'm not defending Garry, he is what he is, but linux community seems to be too emotional about it.

there are countless games that arent early access and not work on linux or work really bad. And when devs dont say anything at all its a lot worse imo, it shows that they dont even know that they released a game on linux.

my 2 cents.. im too lazy to argue

No one here is name calling, simple pointing things out. There's nothing hostile here so far from anyone.

People are too quick to play the "toxic linux community" card, it's not. Every community has toxicity, but there's a certain level of respect people should show, of which Garry has none for anyone using Linux as repeatedly shown by his comments.

We also point out other games that have bad support, this is nothing new. I like to warn people, money is important (at least it is to me), and I would rather put money towards a supportive developer.

Also, people should be allowed to complain about things they buy, it's part of life.

Quoting: XpanderAnd thats entirely correct statment. It his opinion. Its not worth for him to support our platform. I dont see anything wrong in there. People really want to make so much drama about every post he makes about linux.

Torment: Tides of Numenera launches in Early Access without Linux support, coming much later

Quoting: BillNyeTheBlackGuyI swear some of you people should research a game before you say anything about it. This isn't the first time this happened on this forum.

You are repeatedly being an arse in comments on GOL, stop it. Your attitude is starting to annoy me a lot.

Quoting: IvancilloAs you are right with your point, normally I give credit to the article's tags.

This one has : "Steam, RPG, Early Access, Crowdfunding".

There's another tag seen on some articles , "DRM-Free" that I don't see on this.

Happens with this game, and others. It seems the articulists have much information about Steam's releases than other's stores.

It does not have a DRM Free tag, as it is not currently on any other store but Steam.

Like with all our Steam release and Steam Early Access announcements, I'm not going to mention a store it's not even on yet.

Quoting: melkemindWhat exactly does "our vendor via Valve" mean? To me it sounds like a financial issue rather than a technical one.

Sounds like Valve contracted the port out for them (Valve gave the port to someone else to do, and they are having trouble).

Quoting: adolsonThat screenshot doesn't make it look very exciting. Guess I'll have to go find a trailer or something. lol

It's a 4X strategy game, it's not some big explody shooter. Take a look as Master of Orion 2 and you will see.

Homefront: The Revolution gamespot video looks good, but it will feature microtransactions
27 January 2016 at 10:48 am UTC

For Homefront, if you like shooters and the gameplay is as interesting as it looks in the videos, are you really going to care for optional micro? Probably not, I won't considering no other "player" will have an advantage over me considering it's a single player/co-op game. I don't really see it as a big issue here myself, and it will help fund the free content additions they claim to be adding. As we know what publishers are like after a game is finished, this will allow the devs to carry on with it I hope.

Quoting: drjomsNot pay to win they say. So if it's true, seems like very good game.
I have seen games with micro transactions which were all right.

In some games it is done fine, CS:GO has a good balance for example.

Dota 2 and TF2 have a nice balance, not the best examples since they are free, but they still do it nicely.
