They are now down to this one bug it seems.

Rich Geldreich On The State Of Linux Gaming, And It's Not Good
10 November 2014 at 9:44 am UTC Likes: 5

Considering his heated blog posts on Valve, Linux, OpenGL etc it's reasonable to think he quit before he was let go by Valve. A jump before you're pushed type of thing.

I can't imagine him getting on well with others at Valve if he thought like this the whole time, but that's just my wild speculation.

Insurgency FPS Is Waiting On Valve So It Can Come To Linux (UPDATED)

Quoting: VedzomEven if the promise is fulfilled, the Linux porters won't get the money if people buy the game before the port.
The Linux porters are the developers themselves, so either way they get the money. The more important things are:
a) Not being counted as a Linux sale
b) Waste of money for a Linux gamer

Ownership Of Desura Changes, Again
8 November 2014 at 7:24 pm UTC

Quoting: boomanThis new IndieRoyal bundle has all Desura games which includes 3 Linux games.
Why would they advertise Desura and Linux if the client is no longer downloadable?

As pb said, you don't have to use the client for Desura, they have web downloads just like GOG.

Steam Hardware Survey For October 2014, Linux Rises Again (UPDATED)
8 November 2014 at 12:24 pm UTC

Quoting: FutureSutureI don't follow. The Steam Hardware & Software Survey, for October of 2014, mentions a Linux user market share of 1.12%. Where did 1.18% come from?

It seems Valve adjusted the survey after both we and Phoronix reported on it, as Phoronix also had a 1.18% mark on their article.

Postal 2 No Longer Being Worked On By Icculus, RWS Taking It In-house

Quoting: adolsonIt's good that they took it in-house, but... Because Ryan's busy? Really? Maybe it's just me, but I think there's more to it than that.

Ryan seems to be quite anti-GamerGate, judging by his tweets.
RWS on the other hand, is very pro-GamerGate.

It's business and all, but I'd be hard-pressed to not at least consider this as being a huge factor. It is suspicious timing, if you ask me. Ryan has been busy since Loki disbanded...

I had the sane thought about the gamersgate stuff which forced me to unfollow RWS.

I asked Ryan about it, but he said he didn't know RWS supported them and he said he hopes they change their minds.

War Thunder MMO Officially Launches On Linux

Quoting: SkullyI don't think the swearing is appropriate, especially in the article itself. Unless your trying to fit in with the trash at linuxgamecast.com
Well I do think it is, and we aren't a super posh publication, so I will swear from time to time.

Besides it's just a little word. It won't harm anyone, nor do I really care at this moment.
