I won't pay for Tropico because of the DRM. Is there any DRM-Free release I am not aware of?

Good. Let's see if something interesting arrives next week to make the bundle even better.

Thank you very much, no bitcoins for Risk of Rain for now then. What about Tower of Guns?

This bundle looks great. I will wait for the next week for the purchase as usual, because some of the added games may deserve my money too. Meanwhile, I would really appreciate some feedback about the quality of the ports. Pretty please?

I wonder why these give-aways are not being made in Steam, even Receiver was offered as a Steam code only.
EDIT: I mean, why is Humble distributing Steam codes only for games available as DRM-Free in the Humble Store?

Quoting: FrasierCraneIn the Steam hardware survey articles Liam also states that many Linux users shy away from DRM and that this reflects on the user numbers. So why not make this also part of the next survey: "Do you refuse to buy Linux games with DRM?" and maybe also the age-old question "Do you consider Steam itself (without Steamworks) DRM?".

Yes, please.

McDROID Released For Linux On Steam

Quoting: torhamI paid for the product on Desura, and I feel like the developer ought to provide me with the latest version on Desura.

It sounds fair to me, I don't like this developer.

Humble Indie Bundle 12 Launches With Lots Of Great Games

No new ports in this bundle? This may disappoint some people, but not me. I am tired of dealing with half-working ports that never get fixed because the developer's interest in Linux only lasts two weeks. I will wait for the next week because the games that will be added may deserve my money too, but this bundle is for me.

Ok, I must admit I only own Hammerwatch. People who owns more games may find it much less exciting.

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth Coming In November

Quoting: fleskThis particular game is probably not for me though, since rogue-likes are too much of a time investment with potentially no gain. I just can't spare that much time on a game with the risk of no progression.

But this game isn't a rogue-like, they are called rogue-lite or something similar. And Binding Of Isaac isn't particularly difficult either. I killed mom for first time in only two or three days (reading this makes me feel like a politician!). There is progression in the sense of unlocking items, characters, etc.

That being said, I don't recommend the original game because the flash port is crap. I played it because it was included in a bundle, but I had to manually change resolution, tweak with my window manager to make it fullscreen, use qjoypad, alter $HOME to preventing the browsers from deleting the game status... it's a pain in the arse. Play Rogue Legacy instead.

If I am going to play this game one day, my first click will be used to disable the "new art style". My library is already full of pixel art style games, thank you.

The use of the "flash game" adjective to relate to it's quality is well deserved. It's good to see more developers realize you can't use it for anything serious. Well, they already dropped it for Super Meat Boy to be fair.
