GOL Survey Results: October

I'm seeing the suggestions to add more and more stuff such as laptop/desktop, etc. I think there is a fine line of very important questions to ask. I'm not sure how knowing if you use a laptop or desktop is all that important in the grand scheme of things. If care isn't taken the survey will become too long and people will start to not fool with it. Of course adding this one thing isn't going to make or break the survey, I was just pointing out that shorter is better when it comes to surveys. Ask only the very most important questions that really validate important aspects of Linux gaming so more people will do the survey.

Great Survey and I look forward to doing it every month! Thank you Segata Sanshiro!

Interstellar Marines v14 Released, More Single-player Goodness

It's a really good game. I could see the potential way back when I bought it right when they released for Linux. The team is fairly small but they are very dedicated to the game. They also are often slow to release because when they do release something you know it's going to be very good and not chalked full of bugs. They also are very good at listening to the community. When they first released for Linux their was a nasty bug with high polling ( gaming ) mice. A lot of posts were made about it helping to diagnose the issue ( as many of us Linux users will do if their are problems ). Long story short someone found it to be a Unity bug and IM was fixed with a patch right away to solve the issue. Good stuff, I really love how the game is shaping up!

How is pirating okay when the company producing the product has nothing to do with it not being allowed? That logic is flawed in so many ways I can't even express them all.

Quoting: EKRboiCrazy awesome news! DLing BL2 right now. I just wish us nvidia users had physx in linux. AMD users say what you want about it, but Borderlands uses it and it's frackin amazing with it. I will be sure to play it on linux for the first 10-15 hours, but I have a feeling that Ill end up switching to windows (Flame suit engaged) after that unfortunately. Would be fan-f*ckin-tastic if we got linux physx by the time The PreSequal drops.

Actually Linux does have PhysX but it isn't on par with Windows yet. Borderlands 2 has it forced to Low as it says here, on this thread. Let's hope PhysX gets fully implemented by all parties soon!
