This is one of my most sought after titles this year, that art style is just too good.

A small but nice update on Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation and Linux support

I think Stardock are on the right path, slow but getting there, the fact that Vulkan is on their tongue rather than DX11/12 is a good sign. Having a Cross-Platform foundation makes it easier in the long run.

Too bad about Mac, it could have been a great gaming platform if Apple didn't ruin it, many games were even ported over long before Linux became popular. Maybe there's hope with MoltenVK yet?

Quoting: BeamboomAnd what do you believe are the rights of the consumers using Steam, that Steam prohibit them from?

In my opinion there's the most important thing - Ownership.

Games that require Steam running to play are more of a longtime lease than something you actually own. I buy my games DRM-Free because I can play them anytime and anywhere without depending on any service.

With that said I don't boycott Steam, I just use it to download games that can run without it. If all those Linux games on Steam would let me play without the client I would gladly buy them.

Quoting: Beamboomreinstall the system and Steam client, and copy over those files. If you feel like it. Try, it works.

That's your DRM at work right there, you can't just run the game straight away, instead you need to ask Steam permission if you can run it.

Look at it this way: You the customer, who paid honest money, have to prove that you bought the game.

Kinda expected this but greatly disappointed in their decisions. Their response is a flat out no, it doesn't say much.

Would be interested to have some more elaborate details.

Quoting: Avehicle7887I'm particularly interested in that fix for Elex, does this mean the game is now free from graphical errors? If possible could anyone retest it, I've been wanting to play this for a while.

On my system (AMD RX 580 with Mesa 18.0.4 and wine-staging-nine 3.9), game still has those blocky edges around trees (this bug: https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/issues/289, that is now corrected in Mesa-git and will go in Mesa 18.1), performance is better than previous version, also occasional flickering when staying into vegetation nearly disappeared.

Thanks for the info and the video guys, This may be the first Windows-only game I'll buy in recent years.

Aragami: Nightfall expansion for the stealth-action game released
6 June 2018 at 9:30 pm UTC

This was one game I really wanted to love but skipped it. The gameplay and mechanics look cheap, the enemies are all deaf, blind or tunnel visioned. From all the videos I saw it seems there's no climbing either, instead you have that overpowered shadowstep which makes the game far too easy, for example where in other games you have to walk, in this you can simply shadowstep and poof right behind the enemy.

Combat is another thing I didn't like, it looks too slow and not very fluid. It feels sluggish when I compare it with other stealth games I played.

The excellent six-degree-of-freedom shooter 'Overload' is now on GOG

Gave the game a go before bed, first thing I tried was Multiplayer and got my ass kicked *moderately*. Performance is bloody good and controls are fluid. I noticed that on the main menu it still says "Development Build" on the GOG version, not sure if it's the same on Steam, build is 1.0 1818.
