The Khronos UK Vulkan talk is tomorrow with Feral, Croteam and more & you watch online

Hmmm... so no iD "Doom" Vulkan at the event. I'd venture that their code is well optimised.

There's another 'Life is Strange' on the way

Good to use the Spoiler function to avoid spoiling the game for people that haven't played it yet:

I just shared some plot info which you won't know unless you finished the game.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III releasing for Linux on June 8th

Quoting: cRaZy-bisCuiTGuys, obviously I know there're technically reasons for that. Still it's an attitude since the job of a developer is to solve problems. You got a problem that you need to solve by implementing it in code. I'm a dev myself and I know a few issues can be massive, but better have no port at all than a only partly functioning one.

I don't want to be separated from my friends regarding mjmtollaEr by devs because they decide cross platform multiplayer is not doable. Even though I prefer Linux at any time I don't want to force anyone to use a specific OS to play with me.

Yes, "Developers" can solve problems. But Feral are Porting the release (not "developing it from scratch" ). They are not the ones who wrote the original multi-player Windows-specific code. If the original Developers change their Windows code to support libraries that allow multi-player to work cross-platform, then Linux and Windows can play together.

I imagine that Feral is looking into the possibility that the original Windows multi-player code can be re-written, so that cross-platform will work. But it is something entirely dependent on the original developers.

Total War: SHOGUN 2 and Fall of the Samurai are heading to Linux from Feral Interactive

Does anyone know "if" I buy Shogun 2 on Humble (which is currently on Sale there) that Feral, the porters, will get their cut for a Linux purchase or not? https://www.humblebundle.com/store/total-war-shogun-2-collection

TW:S2 isn't really my sort of game, and as such I am very unlikely to pay full price for it. But getting it at a substantial reduction, sure, I can drop some cash and give a little support to a Linux porter.

Quoting: pmatulkaSo "Spice Clove" is Total War: Shogun 2 (No surprise),
While "Made to Wade" is Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III? (Seriously? How?)

Have a look at this link:

Friday Madness, a quick look at some good Linux gaming deals, lot's going on sale!

Yes, the Humble Sale is pretty good right now. In fact, I've been getting plenty on Humble recently:

1. I got the Humble Monthly Subscription to get Stellaris (and 10% discount on Store purchases).
2. The current Humble Indie Bundle 18 is great.
3. With my extra discount, grabbing some appealing titles:

- Knock, Knock
- Dark Echo
- Shattered Haven
- Capsized
- McDroid
- Spirits of Xanadu

Also I bought it about 6 weeks ago, and even though it is Early Access, I'm absolutely loving 7 Days To Die - which is on sale too. Played 100+ hours of it in the past 6 weeks.

Torment: Tides of Numenera free update 'Servant of the Tides' released with a new companion and much more

Thinking about buying it (eventually) but - I've got MASSES of games in my Steam library that I haven't tried yet - including Pillars of Eternity *and* Divinity Original Sin. So, for now, I'm holding onto my purse-strings.

A Story About My Uncle officially released for Linux

Cool. Already have it in my Steam library (from when it was Windows only). Now it is on Linux, I should get around to playing it. (My Windows partition gets booted up very rarely, heh. And when it does, usually can't use the machine for 10 minutes due to updates and reboots.)

Total War: SHOGUN 2 and Fall of the Samurai are heading to Linux from Feral Interactive

Quoting: Purple PuddingSo the tease on the radar was for Shogun 2 and not Shadow Warrior 2?:'(

I'm not complaining, since I never experienced a Total War title and Shogun 2 can be a good start, but I was thinking about SW2 (even if the first one is sitting in my library and I haven't get a chance to play it).

Good Work BTW, keep porting!

Similar to you, I had Shadow Warrior (2013) in my Steam library, and owing to my keenness for SW2 - I installed and played SW1 - to increase the Linux user Steam stats (by "1" ) as a bit of encouragement to the developers.

On which note, I thoroughly enjoyed SW1 - and I'm expecting SW2 to be AWESOME! And noting that there are TWO teases on the radar, and the 2nd tease 'might' be SW2.
