If you remember back in October of last year I mentioned that Alcarys Complex would be heading over to Linux, I am pleased to say it has now dropped and works great!

I have personally tested it working and it's really quite beautiful. While it only officially supports Ubuntu as it was made in Game Maker I have tested it under Manjaro 64bit and it works swimmingly.

Fans of story-based 2D RPG games will love this, it has a good mix of story, beautifully done art and some pleasant music making it well worth the $10.

Features
Enjoy a main narrative about the nature of power and violence. This narrative strongly relies on characterization to govern the main characters’ interactions with each other. More details on the story here.
View the perspectives of six well-defined characters with strengths and flaws that reflect their upbringing and experience. Meet the characters!
The story doesn’t stop when the cutscene ends! Real-time banter and informed, ever changing non-player characters (NPCs) add to Elcaea’s atmosphere and ensure that you’ll never go uninformed.
Use the Sociability system to gain strength by interacting with those around you and progressing through the main narrative. You’ll be rewarded for knowledge about the personalities of your party members!

You can get the Linux version on Itch.io. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I find the description and trailer a bit confusing. is this a political kind of game and why does it have monsters ?

Can I get the Linux version from itch.to only, or also on Desura?

The page on Desura mentions as platform Windows, Mac & Linux, but on the price tag it's Windows & Mac only.

Hi, dev here.

Confused Penguin: I'm still waiting on the Desura 1.03 branches to be authorized. Buying it on itch.io should snag you a Desura key, so when the update becomes authorized there, you can redeem and claim it there, too. I'd also like to note that while the Desura branches aren't authorized, I was able to get the standalone archive version of the game authorized instantly for all three platforms.

stan: hey, pressing the Cancel key (Z by default) will show the text instantly for a message. Currently, there is no setting for getting the text to instantly show in all circumstances.

Thanks for playing!
