SteamLUG July Linux Gaming Events

By - | Views: 9,694
Hey people!

The Steam Linux User Group (SteamLUG.org) has its July events lineup available for anybody who'd like to meet and play with other Linux gamers!

Event times are in UTC (click on an event for local time via Steamcommunity.com) and happen at 20:00 (8PM). Events marked with an asterisk (*) follow a live SteamLUG Cast recording, and are likely to start late when we go over time.

We'll also be continuing with our during-the-week Guns of Icarus practice sessions at 2:00am UTC on Tuesdays and Thursdays. More details can be found in this thread.

All of our events aim to be accessible to newcomers and give experienced gamers a chance to play socially.

We'll also be joined by Linux porter flibitijibibo for our Skulls of the Shogun event!

Hope to play with you soon! Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I wish I could be more active in the LUG events. Sadly I neither have the money for these games nor the adequate amount of time to play them. I only get a limited amount of time on the internet per day and most of it is spent on public wifi which blocks steam.

It only helps with one of those issues, but we do try to run at least one free game each month.

We also take suggestions on what to run, so if there's something you do have that you think you'd be able to play on a weekend when you were near a decent internet connection, feel free to tell us!

I might play XCOM and Civ 5. Also didn't know there were weekly game of guns of icarus, so will sign up for that.

Any chance of a Europa Universalis multilayer?

Sweet. Looking forward to flying with you!

I've popped EU in the event suggestion list.

We've had a couple previously and they ended up giving a poor experience. With the number of people experiencing crashes, we've been trying to hold off on NS2 until there's an update that addresses stability.

Hope we'll see you there! We've missed you ^_^
