We have been awaiting Frozenbyte's platformer Splot for quite some time now, and it seems Linux gamers will have to wait even longer.

We know that Frozenbyte have been hard at work on upgrading the original Trine game, so that it will then have a Linux version on Steam too. It's still sad that another game will keep us waiting though.

Anyone who purchased the Humble Frozenbyte Bundle would have a copy of Splot at release, as was promised. The sad part is that Linux has been currently left out of this deal:

@gamingonlinux Unfortunately the Linux version is taking longer.

@gamingonlinux Sorry :/ we don't have a clear estimate on the Linux or other versions.

On the plus-side: They actually *communicated* with the community, instead of just leaving us in the dark.

Trine 2 ran great! So I assume this one will as well when it makes it to us. This seems to be far to much "mobile-ish" cutesy game for me, but my gf may really enjoy it, so maybe ill pick it up for her when it comes to linux.

Looks like they still plan on doing a Linux version, so it might work out. No reason to panic yet.

Trine was quite nice. Splot doesn't look like it would be my thing, but hopefully for those who do like the look of it, the Linux port happens. I bought the Frozenbyte Bundle but I don't remember seeing anything about Splot on it.

Shame it looks nothing like the demo anymore. Oh well.
