A couple of weeks ago we wrote about the release of the demo for the upcoming action platformer. The developer, Orangepixel, has now released a trailer and announced a release date of 15th of January.

Given that the demo is anything to go by, the game is going to be good. It's a nice retro style action platformer with several playable characters, different types of guns (including a tank), cover mechanics and tons of frantic action. The game feels very responsive, which is of course a must for these kinds of platformers.

If you haven't already, make sure to check out the demo (requires Java), and if you like what you see, you might consider voting for it on Steam Greenlight.

About the game
Gunslugs 2 improves on everything of the original, award winning, action game. So that means: more chaos, more guns, more enemies, more content, more special effects, more story, and more corny movie references !

The evil Black Duck Army is at it again, and only the Gunslugs can stop them. They are using their signal towers to send signals into outer space.. why? nobody knows, but it can't be a good thing!

While unlocking the various Gunslugs characters and their weapons, survive the six area's and defeat the Black Duck Army before it's too late!

With a story line written by the guy who wrote the "grmbls" and "arrrghh" in the Expandables 2 script, and cut scenes influenced by Michael Bay, Gunslugs 2 takes all the cliche's from action movies and dumps them into one big fun action game in full pixel-art vision.
