Monday's fun tip of the day is coming at you right now. We bring word that you can play tons of old games right in your browser that work with DOSBox without the need for any plugins at all, and it works.
This is thanks to Internet Archive, DOSBOX, and the Emscripten port of DOSBox which can be found on github.

I tried a few - they work pretty well! In general I've heard that DosBox in Emscripten is still WIP, but a lot of games work well.

Hmm, does not work in my browser. No clear advantage over installing DOSBox Game Launcher [External Link], is it?
OK, I don't have to locate/download the ZIPs - but DBGL runs offline :)
When I saw this I poked around it for a little bit and then went to GOG and snagged myself a copy of the Star Wars flight sims. They have windows installers but they seem to work fine in Linux once you transplant the files. It's all DOSBOX anyways.
As soon as my flight stick arrives from Amazon I will really give X-wing & Tie Fighter a workout...

There a lot of good games there, but the problem is - they are all in one pile, without any way to sort them by genre.
