The new GOL survey for March is now available, so please make sure to fill it in if you have the time.
After many requests, the publication of the new survey and the results of the previous one have been separated into two articles to prevent confusion. The results of the previous survey will be published in the next couple of days.
You can find the link here, and please share with other Linux gamers if you can!

Games using Wine wrappers (such as The Witcher 2) do not count as Wine games since they are categorised as Linux on digital distribution platforms.

People can define Steam Machines however they want, it's pretty ambiguous, especially to us Linux users.
Personally, I'd call it a PC running SteamOS or SteamOS session. Equally it could be defined as a Linux machine hooked up to a TV instead of a monitor or a Linux PC which uses controllers as the primary input.

Valve is shooting themselves in the foot by not producing their own Steam Machine and marketing it like there's no tomorrow. Beyond it being Linux, Steam as a console OS is their brand identity. They should not put that in the hands of random PC makers.
I will probably buy one in the future, although I got tired of waiting and built my own gaming rig for now. I'm also very eager to finally get a Steam controller.

It's not a Steam Machine unless it's primarily used to play games on Steam. I've got a gaming/media PC hooked up to the TV in our living room, running XBMC/Kodi and games on Mint, occasionally Steam as well, more often than not controlled with a gamepad, but it's sure as hell not a Steam Machine.
