Well I do love SteamDB, as it appears STAR WARS™ Knights of the Old Republic™ II - The Sith Lords™ has a Linux icon added, so it looks like the previous ESRB leak about a Linux version could be true after all.

I would like to direct you attention to this update on SteamDB:
QuoteChange #1132106

Changed changenumber – 1132087 › 1132106

Oh, and let's not forget this SteamDB update too:

383208/config/oslist: linux
383208/name: Linux Executable

This is all unconfirmed stuff right now, as usual with SteamDB changes, but it does generally indicate something is coming. We will keep our eyes transfixed to the SteamDB page for any more changes.

About the game (Official)
Five years after the events from the award winning Star Wars® Knights of the Old Republic™, the Sith Lords have hunted the Jedi to the edge of extinction and are on the verge of crushing the Old Republic. With the Jedi Order in ruin, the Republic’s only hope is a lone Jedi struggling to reconnect with the Force. As this Jedi, you will be faced with the galaxy’s most dire decision: Follow the light side or succumb to the dark…

It's a great game, and a must have for STAR WARS fans like myself. I really do hope this comes true. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Quoting: Maquis196the fact they have the source code will make it look dodgy

Yes. There's really no way xoreos could knowingly take contributions from someone who has or might have access to the original sources (unless officially sanctioned by the rights holders, of course, but that's...very unlikely).

Quoting: Maquis196KOTOR II native would just mean once less game for xoreos to worry about (but will no doubt support anyway because that's how open source rolls).

No matter whether KotOR II will really come to GNU/Linux, and no matter the methods (native, wine wrapper, eON, ...), that doesn't change anything about xoreos' mission statement.

Oh sorry, that's not what I meant, it was more a "well, out of all these games, we have this "natively" so you can focus on every other game rather then this one.

I for one can't wait, you're doing good work, keep it up ;)

Oh, so the sucky one is being ported and not the vastly superior original. :(

10/10 will instabuy. Had it on disc for PC but lost it. Had it on Xbox and loved it. Been waiting to buy it digitally until it came to my OS. Can't wait!

I'd not go as far as calling the second for sucky, but I agree that the first were definitely the best one. Just like Fallout 3 were better than Obsidians work on New Vegas.

YahooooooooOOOO!

Quoting: BillNyeTheBlackGuyNice. IMO, KoToR II was the better than the first game, even without the fan fixes. I hope we get to see some other obsidian titles come to linux, such as Neverwinter Nights 2 and Fallout New Vegas.

NWN 2 runs perfectly in WINE.
