Pony Island has been out for a while (since January 4th, actually) and it has proved to be a very interesting game, getting extremely positive reviews by both critics and Steam users alike. It's one of those games that breaks the fourth wall, expecting you to beat an arcade machine to save your soul. In order to achieve this, you need to think outside the box while you mess with the code of the game itself.

Something to remark is its cheap price (only $4.99/£3.99 on Steam, even considering it isn't on sale there), but, for this weekend, there is a small discount on GOG.com, so, if you hurry up, you can get it for only $3.69/£3.79.

The game was made by only three people: Daniel Mullins (creator), Jonah Senzel (musician) and Simon Jenkins (consulted designer).

About the game (Official)
Pony Island is a suspense puzzle game in disguise. You are in limbo, trapped in a malevolent and malfunctioning arcade machine devised by the devil himself. The devil detests having his puzzles solved and poor programming exposed; you will need to think outside the box to proceed and you will be insulted when you do. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I thirst for HD HQ games, it feels like we're in a drought or something this past week, or maybe my OCD of checking GamingOnLinux is just showing through a bit.

The day we're receiving AAA releases every *week* is quite far off yet. :)

But yeah I know what you mean. To check out GOL is part of my morning, lunch and even ritual as well. :)

Even if you're longing for a AAA, this game is still pretty fantastic o3o
