I am super pumped for Stellaris, it looks like everything I have wanted in a space strategy game and this new video really has me excited.

I am super happy we get Day-1 releases from Paradox now, as I'm sure many of you are too. With less than a month to go, I will hopefully have some thoughts up on it within a day or two of release. I am expecting great things from this.

I like Paradox games, but their usual historic setting never really draws me in, they say it themselves in the video that people have been asking for them to do a space game like this for a long time. I imagine it's going to be extremely popular unless it has some major issues. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

finally a paradox grand strategy game that's not historically based! I could never fully get into their games because of the historically accurate setting... But this, this is something I could delve deep into.

Hmh, I love paradox, but they yet have to produce a game I like. The missing control during combat pretty much always is the fun-killer for me.

You can watch some gameplay videos at: ParadoxExtra

There also is a developer stream every Thursday at 1500 CEST at: Twitch-ParadoxInteractive

That Swedish accent <3
This might be the first Paradox game that I'll play consistently; as many other people, the historical setting never catched my interest.

Get my money once again, Paradox!

This one will be an instabuy for me :)

Yeah so far their historical strategy games have been kind of cool but kind of meh as well. Crusader Kings 2 was the most fun but will get to a point I start to fall asleep trying to play it.
Stellaris definitely looks like something I could get more interested in.
I did notice their attention to detail early on in the video that made it seem like a real galaxy. the only possible downside is I like to play a game to be entertained and I don't usually care about how accurate it is to real facts. because factual things tend to be fairly boring to me when it comes to games.
Although the overall idea and presentation looks amazing. I'll probably wait for some reviews on youtube first before I grab it, so I can see more of the gameplay.
I definitely appreciate their attention to Linux and having solid development when it comes to Linux.

Paradox has been a great supporter of Linux, and they've quickly become one of my favorite developers. In fact, one of the first games I bought when Steam for Linux was released was Crusader Kings II, and I bought Europa Universalis IV on day one.

I'm definitely looking forward to Stellaris as well as Hearts of Iron IV.

I wish they would resurrect Runemaster because that game looked phenomenal.

I've been putting of EU IV for a long time, because I have other things to play and I imagine it needs a bit of commitment. But i don't think I'll be able to put off Stellaris.
