Dota 2 is about to get two new heroes, one of which will be the first entirely new hero for the game that is not ported over from the original DotA.
The first one is Underlord which was announced at The International, but the more interesting one is the just announced Monkey King which is the first original hero for the game and he came with a video teaser:
I haven't played Dota 2 personally in quite some time, but I do have over 500 hours in the game, so it's only inevitable that I play again sometime. I wonder if we could get a big game going from members of the community to play against each other.
Be honest, how many hours do you have in Dota 2 now?

Some you may have missed, popular articles from the last month:
Quoting: KeyrockAbout 50. I'm terrible at the game but I really love watching it. It's my favorite eSport to watch because it's such a ridiculously complicated game and has so many layers of strategy (drafting, laning setup, itemization, rotations, team fight positioning, etc.)and quite possibly the highest skill ceiling of any game ever made. It's what makes the DotA community so toxic (as with most competitive games, the community gets less toxic the higher skill level you get to, since the high skilled players understand how hard this game is). It's a ridiculously difficult game where 4 other people are depending on you to not **** up. The stress level is extraordinarily high, which makes it extremely compelling to watch and nerve-wracking to play.
I think Starcraft: Brood War and even Starcraft 2 are much more demanding when it comes to mechanical skills. Shooters like Quake demand entirely different skills but also still have skill ceiling so high that no human being is ever going to reach it. All those games are strategically very complex as well. Not to say Dota 2 is easy or anything...

It's a fun game, but always playing the same map gets boring. First time I played Dota 2, I was actually shocked when I discovered that it only had one map.

74 minutes, I keep trying but I just can't get into it, it's a real pain in the butt just to get past the menu system let alone actually put any real time into playing the game.

0 hour. The fact noobs get insulted when they fail in that kind of gzme keeps me away from it.
