Shadow Warrior 2 looks incredible and it's releasing a lot sooner than I expected. The developers tweeted out that it's due in less than two months!

About the game

Shadow Warrior 2 is the stunning evolution of Flying Wild Hog’s offbeat first-person shooter following the further misadventures of former corporate shogun Lo Wang. Now surviving as a reclusive mercenary on the edge of a corrupted world, the formidable warrior must again wield a devastating combination of guns, blades, magic and wit to strike down the demonic legions overwhelming the world. Battle alongside allies online in four-player co-op or go it alone in spectacular procedurally-generated landscapes to complete daring missions and collect powerful new weapons, armor, and arcane relics of legend.

It will be available on Steam and GOG, but only Steam currently lists it for Linux/SteamOS.

Exciting, but I need to finish the first one!

The problem with day 1 Linux is, I haven't finished the old one! Because I got sidetracked by other games. The luxury problems we have these days. ^_^

Surely finish the first one Liam, it's a good game. I hope that Kamiko will be able to replace Hoji and his snarky background comments in the second game well enough.

Quoting: PublicNuisanceI'm going to be very angry if GOG doesn't have the Linux version.

I'm sure they'll have it, they are just sloppy about listing supported platforms for upcoming games.

Well, looks nice but it is a bit shame that they opted-in for semi-procedurally generated level design. I prefer contact level design with exploration opportunities.

Quoting: mr-eggi know its online co-op but multiplayer death match would of been epic. closest thing to overwatch with gore we could of had.
Ballistic Overkill is far closer.

I play that quite a bit but its not at SW level of fidelity. It also needs a decent AA option and the textures are 'low' at best. Wonder if they will add an MP option later on ? If not there is always KF2 to look forward too
