Update: The game was announced.

Just a quick one—Feral Interactive are at it again folks, it's been a while since we had a teaser. Looks like tomorrow we will get a new game announcement from Feral.

So maybe we'll announce a massive game for Mac and Linux tomorrow. Should we? Could be fun.

What could it be? I have no idea. Throw your thoughts in the comments!

Could they be announcing something brand new? Could they be formally announcing the game attached to one of their radar entries? So many thoughts, so much hype! Choo-choo!

Witcher 3 confirmed!

But bad jokes aside, I'm placing my bet on Mad Max....it is massive. But deep down I want it to be something none of us saw coming, like a day one release of south park...or something completely optimized for vulkan :P

Half Life 3 confirmed!
Two Tribes' next game!
The truth about the moon landing! Just a few plausible scenarios.

Quoting: uraeusA completely different take is that they are playing on words here. And its a game from Massive Entertainment. So it could be Tom Clancys The Divison, Fra Cry 3 or Assasins Creed: Revelations.
Or just massively popular, a Lego game would be monumental for Linux.

True, eventhough I can set up majority of Lego titles through Wine, it would still be great to have fully native support for a huge LEGO title like The new Lego star wars! It would probably mean a lot for the SteamOS itself aswell since people who buy steam machines don't have Wine and desktop in mind... However it is very unlikely because the Mac already got their port and publishers who hired Feral for the Mac port seem to have ignored SteamOS and Linux as a platform completely!

But anyway, it is great that we get at least few AAA titles every year, and of course decent number of good mid-range titles and whole bunch of indies :D it's definitely nice getting more and more support, developers seem to have really started considering vulkan which is great news for the gaming industry! And honestly the only proper and reasonable one... I hope that after a few years we will speak on this forum on how the Directx12 was just a failed attempt to force people into using Windows10 and increase their monopoly on the gaming market :D

However being very hyped about the tomorrow's announcement! :D

My guess is on No Man's Sky. It's definitely a massive game, on every sense of the word.

Ugh, not that game. They may port if they want to torture us.

Quoting: cxphergmailcomhttps://steamdb.info/sub/74693/depots/

Rise of the Tomb Raider does have Linux depots and they were updated a few months back.

Someone seems to be working on it but quietly.

In fact, if you look at the changelist of the main depot, the Linux depots were explicitly added at one go a few months back, way after the Windows version was released. If i didn't plan to do something about that, i would either never add those or have added them by mistake right from the start.

I was pretty sure this was a misreading... however some additional digging shows you are in fact 100% correct that it is coming and by Feral.

Good eye. You lead me down the trail. :)
